About Paul Batfay

Thank you for visiting my site!

My name is Paul Batfay and I love facilitation, learning & development and communities.  In my professional life, I wear a few different hats that reflect the different themes of this blog:

  • I am a Certified Professional Facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators.  I’m fascinated by the cross-overs that group facilitation has with process, change, learning, social justice and community.
  • I currently work for a large financial institution in Melbourne, Australia.  I’m in a senior learning strategy role, working on designing a new systemic learning ecosystem for the global business.
  • I also volunteer weekly in vendor support at The Big Issue, Australia’s longest running social enterprise.  I believe in the power of our communities for social inclusion, and I’m inspired by people who are having a go.
